Excitement In Our Basement....

Hey everyone!
Ok, so as you may have guessed from the title, we had some excitement this evening!
It was almost 9 at night and we were all watching a movie, Ellen was on the computer, and Mrs. Cookingham was about to vacuum the floor, when she felt and heard someone banging on the floor beneath her. She made us all stop the movie and we listened...it came again, and again! Me and Ellen were so terrified, along with almost everyone else in our house! The banging kept coming, but it was often in different places. There was someone under the house and banging on the floor! We got Andrew, the only male in the house above 18, and we told him what was going on and he agreed to come down and check it out. Mrs. Cookingham gave Nathan the phone and told him:
"Dial 9-1-1, but do not press send!"
Me and Ellen huddled in a corner and prayed, giggling from excitement and also because we were scared out of our pants and didnt know what else to do! While Andrew and Nathan went down to investigate, Ellen and I started banging on the floor and calling down, but no one answered!
Andrew came up and gave us the news that the basement was locked and someone was inside! This made us all think.
Who the heck would be under the house? And why arent and they calling us?
The banging stopped for a while, until we heard Andrew banging on the door. A few minutes later, Andrew came back up shaking his head.
"What is it? What's under the house?!" We all asked him.
He shook his head, grinning ever so slightly, "Adam and Bree."
What???????
Adam is my brother and Bree is his girlfriend! They were playing a prank on us! They had gone on a walk and on the way back up our driveway they saw that the basement light was on. So they went to turn it off, but then Adam found a board and decided to play a prank...he began banging on the ceiling, right where Mrs. Cookingham's feet were when she began to vacuum!

So, as soon as Adam and Bree came back in, me and Ellen attacked them with our fists and with our words....Mine were...
"You EVIL brother! How could you?! You scared us half to death!"
He simply laughed, tried to shield himself from our blows, and said he was sorry...but he really wasnt. haha!
When we were exchanging stories, who should come up to the house but our renters of the little house below ours, Leon and Lisa...followed by a police officer!
"Who called 9-1-1?"
We were all silent for a few minutes and we all started laughing. We explained to the officer that it was just a prank that Adam and Bree had played on us, and that nothing was wrong. He looked just about ready to laugh himself! When the whole story was out, he acted like he was about to write something down about Adam, then he laughed and shook his hand! We were all laughing the whole time!
But someone had pressed the SEND button on the phone, but the phone was passed around a bit before the whole thing was resolved. And the police officer came to our house over a silly joke...haha! This night was one worth remembering, and it is going to make us laugh in years to come! I hope that this also made you laugh as much as it made us!
